The Company

Sequoia Energy Inc. is a North American renewable energy company with operations spread across Canada and in selected United States locations.

We are focused on the development of utility-scale wind, solar and run-of-the-river hydro power projects.

Sequoia owns its projects in development and manages and performs all activities required to bring projects from conception to construction. This work includes:

• Assessing market opportunities

• Selecting sites and acquiring the land base for projects

• Measuring and assessing the quality of renewable resources (wind, water, and solar)

• Conducting preliminary project design

• Conducting community, First Nations, and stakeholder consultation

• Obtaining environmental, construction, and operational permits

• Negotiating power sales agreements

• Arranging electrical interconnection and transmission

• Selecting and procuring major equipment

• Negotiating engineering and construction agreements

• Securing project financing

Sequoia prides itself on working collaboratively with communities and key stakeholders. Our goal is to facilitate a smooth introduction of renewable energy into established energy networks. We also focus on bringing new income and economic opportunity to rural areas.

The company develops its renewable energy projects in conjunction with existing and planned transmission systems in Canada and across the US Great Plains so that they are synchronized with North America’s energy supply system.
